List of Service Dog Trainers and Training Programs

Make Yourself an Educated Consumer

We encourage consumers to find the best product or service by contacting and comparing several organizations. Note that there is variation in:

  • products and services available.
  • qualification criteria for dogs and handlers.
  • acquisition costs.
  • policies regarding geographical placement of dogs.

Please read the service dog related pages on this web site and other sources for more detailed guidance about selecting the source that is right for you. In particular, we recommend that you read Information for People Considering a Service Dog.

How the Trainers and Programs Are Grouped

The service dog trainers and training programs are grouped into different lists to make them easier to search.

  • Individual States - place service dogs only within the state or region in which they're located. Some only place within a certain number of miles of their location. Trainers and programs that place dogs throughout the U.S. are also listed in the state in which they're located.
  • Throughout the Entire U.S. - place service dogs throughout the entire U.S. If you don't live in the state in which they're located, you will probably have to travel to their location for training and to receive your dog. Some trainers and programs will travel to your home for training and delivery of the dog.
  • Internationally - place service dogs in countries other than the U.S. Some of the trainers and programs are located in the U.S, but place dogs in other countries. Most of the trainers and programs are located outside of the U.S and only place dogs in the country in which they're located or neighboring countries.

Trainers and programs interested in being included in one of the lists or to update their information in the lists should send their information to Michellec@deltasociety.org.
